Insides: Matmatta
Here are some pictures of cave homes or troglodyte dwellings in Matmata, Tunisia. Matmata homes are deep open topped pits dug vertically into the ground. The pit serves as a central court to the surrounding rooms that are totally underground. Aside from being architecturally awesome, the interiors are beautiful too. I love colorful simplicity of the rooms.
